*huge sigh of relief*

My first ever presentation as a graduate student is over. Done. Completed. HUZZAH!!! What a relief. Plus, to make it even better, the professor came up to me afterwards, as I worked reception, and told me that I did well. I didn't expect that at all. Double HUZZAH!

Dearest Sara, trust me. I'm pretty sure that philosophers NEVER know what they are really talking about. I promise. If I made it through an entire semester at Oxford prentending I knew what I was talking about and understanding what they were saying, I have absolutely NO doubt that you can fake it too. Just keep telling yourself: every single person in that class is probably faking intelligence! But I understand the "I feel stupid" feeling. It's humbling to realize that there are somethings that you actually might be incapable of learning.
